Look out over the Mediterranean Sea

This house located on the top of a hill (La lloma del Castanyar) is the result of a personalised design for a married couple and their two daughters. For this terrain, which is so complicated due to its large inclination, it was proposed to divide the house into cubes that move together to adapt to the inclination of the mountain and to look for the best views, our main objective. 

The house is distributed on two floors; downstairs, the access and the bedrooms of the two daughters and a guest room or living room (when there are no guests), and upstairs, all on the same floor, the master bedroom, living room, kitchen, dining room and a large outdoor terrace with a pergola, barbecue and an infinity pool with a swimming channel for daily exercise with the sea in the background. Above the kitchen volume, there is a chill out roof terrace with spectacular 360º views, with the Mediterranean and the Montgó Natural Park as a backdrop.

This house has a serene and contained design, with no great luxuries, only local materials that recall the architecture of the area's past and leave all the prominence to the landscape in which it is placed.
